WELCOME!

Grenoble Applied Economics Laboratory (GAEL) is honoured to organise the 42nd Journées de Microéconomie Appliquée (JMA), which will take place at Université Grenoble Alpes, on Thursday 4 and Friday 5 June, 2026.

Each year, The Journées de Microéconomie Appliquée (JMA) are held each year in a different university, either in France, in a French-speaking country, or a neighbouring European country. They welcome senior and junior researchers and doctoral students whose original work contributes to broadening and enriching the fields of application of microeconomic theory.

Submissions must be made in full paper by February 1st, 2026. Participants in the job market will have the opportunity to signal themselves when submitting their paper, and a special section will be dedicated to showcasing these presentations. A call for papers for a special issue of the Revue Économique will be open to accepted submissions.

The inaugural lecture will be given by Jérôme Adda, professor in the Department of Economics at Bocconi University since 2014. His research focuses on health economics, labour economics and macroeconomics. His main contributions concern the effect of public policies on health behaviour, the analysis of disease spread, the links between income and health, the role of human capital in career choices and wage growth over the life cycle.
